We will start each morning with a Pilates session, before brunch//breakfast. The morning or afternoon workshop sessions will be a deep dive into specific areas and movements. Following time for organised activities, treatments and free time we will gather for our evening meal. The evening session after this will be at a slower pace with breathwork and relaxation.

EXPLORE & RELAX

Re-connect with nature, explore, breathe and relax

  • 1.5-2hrs guided nature walk across the 300 acre site of the Cabilla Valley nestled in the heart of Bodmin Moor’s area of AONB

  • Wild bathe in the Bedalder River (Cornish for ‘Sweet Water’), the water is pure enough to drink and will leave you feeling ten years younger. Followed by some time in the wood fired Woodland Sauna

  • Be guided by our hosts to experience Forest bathing, the practice of walking in woodland, mindfully. One of the most beneficial ways to experience the rainforest is through forest bathing, otherwise known as shinrin-yoku – the practice of mindfully spending time in woodland. It’s taking in all the elements of nature with your senses and being present in the moment and quietening the mind. We have several forest bathing walks for you to experience. Guided meditations are also available for you to read throughout the woods.

  • Dusk guided tour of our beaver reintroduction project to meet Sigourney Beaver and Jean-Claude Van Dam. Beavers are what we call a keystone species – as ecological catalysts, their presence encourages other species to thrive.

  • Gaze at the stars in one of the UK’s few ‘Dark Sky Environments’, see the Milky Way in all its glory and watch shooting stars whizz across the sky all night.

  • Enjoy hot chocolate around the Firepit as the sun goes down

TREATMENTS

@ THE PIGSTY SPA

Cabillas holistic approach to wellness also includes a little self-indulgence. The Pigsty Spa was inspired by Cabilla’s very own Cornish Black Pig, Gloria – perhaps the most pampered pig in Cornwall, if not the world. She’s always being showered with love and backrubs by visitors, so the Cabilla team decided that they needed to provide similar levels of comfort and relaxation for retreat guests.

The Spa is located a few fields away from The Barns in what was once the farm’s original pigsty (now given a luxury update).

The Pigsty Spa offers relaxing Aromatherapy Massage and Facials bookable in advance.
